Bishop Nathaniel Holcomb

Founder

LATE BISHOP NATHANIEL HOLCOMB
August 5, 1952—November 27, 2018
The late Bishop Nathaniel Holcomb was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his family moved to Los Angeles, California in September of 1976. While seeking a better way of life, the Lord led him with his family to Crenshaw Christian Center under Pastor Dr. Frederick K.C. Price. In April 1977, his entire family went forth to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. Before receiving the Lord Jesus Christ, Bishop had a promising and lucrative recording contract with Motown Records. His convictions led him to void this commitment. Following the Lord’s directions and instructions, he joined the United States Army. At the age of 28, Bishop Holcomb yielded to the call of God. Stationed first at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and later at Ft. Hood, Texas, he made full proof of his calling with manifestations of signs, wonders and miracles. He would arrive at Ft. Hood, Texas in January 1980 and immediately began a bible study that took root and blossomed in the first week.
The Christian House of Prayer Ministries was started with an original membership of thirteen, which is now one of the largest ministries in the Central Texas area. Located right outside Ft. Hood, Texas (the largest military installation in the free world), Bishop Holcomb was strategically placed. As a result, many apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers from around the United States and abroad were drawn to the double portion anointing on his life and received him as their spiritual covering. Bishop Holcomb had a well-rounded ministry and taught a balanced Word from the Holy Scriptures. The Christian House of Prayer has expanded to form Covenant Connections International (CCI), an organization based on relationship (Ezekiel 43:10-12). We can say of a certainty that the kingdom of God was his priority, and his assignment was always his pleasure telling others about his Lord and Savior.
The late Bishop Holcomb stood in all five-fold offices of the ministry for the perfecting of the body of Christ. He truly was a man of God that lived his life on purpose. Bishop Holcomb and his wife Pastor Valerie Holcomb have been examples and ensamples for so many over the years. His legacy will live on through those he touched. He did not just leave something for us, but something in us that will reach future generations. But most of all, he will be lovingly remembered for what he preached and lived
“It is All About Him” Jesus Christ.

 Co-Founder

Pastor Valerie Ivy Holcomb is the wife of the late Apostle Nathaniel Holcomb. They are the founders of the Christian House of Prayer, Inc., in Copperas Cove and Killeen, Texas. Many tributaries were also founded by this dynamic duo, such as the Covenant Connections International, Covenant Savings Federal Credit Union, Sonship School of the Firstborn, the Village Square retail complex, just to name a few. After the passing of Apostle Nathaniel Holcomb, Valerie Ivy Holcomb assumed the role as the senior pastor of Christian House of Prayer, Inc., and overseer of Covenant Connections International.
She is the mother of Dana Holcomb, Tyrone Holcomb, Nate Holcomb, Jr., and the late Nicole Holcomb Dudley. She’s also a grandmother and a great-grandmother in which she is very proud.
Pastor Valerie Ivy Holcomb is a down to earth woman that is touched by the oddities of life in general. She understands that God can do what He say He can do. She knows by experience that, “If you lose everything and all you have is Jesus, you have enough to start all over again.” She is touched when people’s lives are changed for the better through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 1:19, If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land… God has given her insight for oversight for such a time as this. Her heart’s desire is just to know Him more because…
Jesus is the Center and Circumference;
The Base and The Boundary;
The Balance and The Beauty;

The Sum and The Substance of what our lives are all about. It’s All About Jesus! It’s All About Him!
